PAKATAN RAKYAT snatches traditional Indian reserve seats

Note: It was an utter disappointment when even the supposedly multi-racial PKR, DAP and PAS “snatched up” these “Indian reserve seats” granted to the MIC by UMNO as was agreed to upon by our forefathers) by fielding non Indian candidates in these MIC seats. I have personally made this request in writing to the top most leaders of PKR, DAP and PAS in the 1999 general elections, in the subsequent Teluk Kemang, Lunas and Ijok by elections, 2004 general elections and finally in the 2008 general elections for the need to put up Indian Opposition candidates in these MIC constituencies to at least maintain the status quo but to no avail. Even from the confines of my Kemta Prison walls I wrote and hand delivered to PKR, DAP and PAS leaders Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Hadi Awang that in the 2008 general elections all MIC seats must be contested by Opposition Indian candidates but they too took advantage of the fact that these MIC seats are all not Indian but Malay majority seats and therefore fielded mostly Malay and some Chinese candidates. We would not have taken this objection had PKR, DAP and PAS
taken up at least the most critical Indian issues seriously which omission over the last fifty two years had in fact contributed to the present critical state of affairs having befallen on the Indian community.
